Clans, Trading & Commands
No Escape adds a few social tools the 2004 game didn't have: clan chats you run with commands, remote trading between banks, and a set of ::commands for checking your status.
Clan chat
A clan chat is named after the player who made it. Start any message with ! to send it to your clan, for example !meet at the Edgeville bank. Members of the same clan chat can't attack each other, but it's no truce with anyone else.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
::createclan | Start a clan chat under your name. |
::join <name> | Join the clan chat that player made. If it's locked, the owner gets a request instead. |
::leaveclan | Leave your clan chat. You're in one clan chat at a time. |
::clanlist | See who's in your clan. |
::invite <name> | Owner only: let a player in, even while the clan is locked. |
::accept <name> · ::deny <name> | Owner only: answer a request to join a locked clan. |
::lockclan | Owner only: lock or unlock the clan. |
::kickclan <name> | Owner only: remove a member. |
::clan | Show these commands in game. |
Logging out keeps your place in the clan. If the owner leaves, ownership passes to another member who's online, and the founder takes it back when they rejoin.
Trading
Face-to-face trading is unchanged. Remote trade is new: trade with someone at a different bank without walking. Both of you need to be standing at a bank booth.
- Right-click a bank booth and choose Remote Trade, then type the player's name (or use
::rt <name>). - They get "Remote trade offer from …" and do the same at their own bank booth with your name, within about 30 seconds.
- The normal trade screen opens for both of you.
Moving or getting into combat while you set it up cancels it.
Some things can't be traded: Player's Souls, Blood Souls, overlevel kits and quest items. Soul Shop gear, build items, clue scrolls and keys can.
The AI adventurers trade too, at their own prices. See AI Adventurers.
Game commands
Type these in the chat box. The Commands panel on the left of the web client lists them too, with a search box.
